It started on a night shift.
Every day I went to work, the rules were clear. No nail polish, no artificial nails. Infection control. Patient safety. I understood it completely. But I also went home after every shift, made wudu, and was reminded again that nail polish wasn’t an option for me there either. I was a nurse and a Muslim. Two reasons I could never have the nails I wanted. I searched everywhere for something that worked around both. Nothing existed.
So I built it myself.
I designed a nail ring that slides on in seconds and comes off just as fast. No glue. No damage. No compromise. What started as my own solution quickly found its way to other women just like me. Nurses, teachers, athletes, Muslim women, moms or anyone who had ever been told that beautiful nails just weren’t for them. They all wanted the same thing. Nails on their own terms.

Today Layla Nails is worn by women in over 50 countries. It’s still just me, building something I genuinely believe in. For every woman who was told she couldn’t. Layla Nails is more than a product. It’s a community of women who refuse to choose between their faith, their career, and feeling beautiful.
